2010 WCHA Final 5

Wade the Blade 4 Hobey

Ladies, it is that time again. I just received the ticket renewals for the 2010 WCHA Final 5. The package price this year is $160. I know there have been some discussions about moving to either a different area or possibly even a suite. I have not got pricing for the suite this year, but I believe last year a 30 person suite would'be been around $267 a piece. I know getting 30 people to commit to this would be one major obstacle as well as getting us poor bastards to come up with another $100 for the tickets. What does everybody think?

  1. i say we at least look into the suite. getting us away from the general public is probably a good idea.

  2. Come on now, we are a year older and a year wiser. I personaly feel I have matured greatly over the past 7 months. Either way I am in though.

  3. I just got an e-mail and there is 1 suite available for $8,000 for 30 people which happens to be the same exact price as last year. If we can get 30 people to commit, that makes it $267 per person. Which is $107 more than the normal ticket. We would need $1,000 down by November 15th and the remaining $7,000 due in February.

  4. I honestly can't think of 30 people I like to hang out with. Not that it really matters after the first 30 pack I guess.

  5. I agree with Rusto, I think the pure sight of us walking into the Excel makes a few people throw up in their mouth,(or shit their pants and call mom if you are the homo siouze fans next to us. I'd be open for a suite. We could try to rent some suite frineds on-line through Craigslist for the weekend...chances are these people will come to one game and never come back...leaving us with the suite to ourselves! I am in for whatever.

  7. would we be able to stock the suite with our own booze?

  8. Well if Bugger's dad goes you're going to have to, I haven't seen any "Fire Water" vendors at the X.

  9. Also I didn't think the Johnny Hopkins bit needed to be played every time the page loads so if you really wanna hear it now you have to press play.

  10. Beers are $4.25 for a 12 oz bottle, and a 750 of Windsor runs $40. We could always try sneaking in our own, as there won't be security guards around us.

  11. I just talked to my brother, and he said he is down with the suite.

  12. So are you allowed to swear and spill drinks in these suites? Also do they allow people to stay in the suite between the afternoon and evening sessions? For that much money it'd be nice to be able to stick around there instead of fighting the crowd in and out of the arena.

  13. I believe we are able to stay in there between games.

Here is some info from the ticket lady:
    Hi Andy,

The suite available is #55 – on the corner above section 120 (http://www.xcelenergycenter.com/seating/hockey.jsp).

There are three rows of 10 seats each – so 30 fixed seats and then behind the third row is a bar rail with high back stools (10).

Then there’s an open space with tables and chairs, TV’s, etc.

There is not a minimum food and beverage order required. There is a suite level lounge that your guests can go to and bring items back to the suite – this works well when you have a variety of people using the suite and not one person/company responsible for the catering.

    Thanks,
    Kelly

  14. It'd be nice if you could sell about 15 or 20 of them on ebay/craigslist for a little more and split the difference. Would make the tickets being used by C-Towners a lot cheaper. Sell 20 @ $325 and you'd have $6500 in the bank. Divvy up the remaining $1500 for 10 guys and it's cheaper than regular tickets. Not sure if these tickets have a "face value" or not, but I'm sure Russel knows if this would be legal. Maybe also put a North Dakota tax on them and jack it up to $400 for any Sioux fans. Use the extra money for booze to help with listening to those dumb shits for the weekend.

  16. It's in the works. I've been looking online pretty much daily for flights and it looks like it's a good possibility judging by the prices right now. What's the lodging situation look like? Maybe they'll let us sleep in the suite.
